Video: Practice One In The Books

Paul Chryst said Wednesday's practice at Hoover High School was 'good and spirited,' and feels confident about his team's mood heading into Saturday.

Pitt may have been to Birmingham three times, but this is the first time in three tries that they've had a full coaching staff, with a head coach as opposed to an interim.

Veteran players such as Ryan Turnley and Mike Shanahan notice the difference.

"I think this is the year we can really focus on football," Shanahan said. "We're on the right track."

"It's night and day," Turnley added. "The practices aree severely more intense. Everyone is into it. Everyone has a focus about them."
