The Division 2 contest features Miss Basketball, Rachael Hencke of Grafton, as the 26th annual girls Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-Star games take place Saturday.

There shouldn’t be a shortage of points scored during the 26th annual Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-Star contests, which are scheduled at Madison Area Technical College on June 21.

Here is a rundown of the top players and what to expect from the games in divisions 1-4:

Division 1

This should be an interesting and entertaining matchup as the North features a more recognized lineup.

Danielle Jorgenson of La Crosse Logan, a UW-Milwaukee recruit, was a second-team AP selection last season and UW-Parkside signee Amy Selk of Sheboygan South made the fourth team.

Joining them are honorable mention choices Hannah Quilling of Eau Claire North, Kaitlyn Bettiga of Ashwaubenon (another UW-Parkside recruit), Katie Pospishil of Eau Claire Memorial, Krista Pelky of Oshkosh West, Lindsay Miller of Wausau West and Mariah Mackey of Holmen.

Pelky led the Fox Valley Association in scoring at 16.4, shooting 87 percent from the free-throw line, while league rival Heidi Baerenwald of Appleton East averaged 11.8 points in making nearly 51 percent from the floor. Miller was third in the Wisconsin Valley Conference at 17.1.

Meanwhile, second-team all-stater Janelle Adams of Milwaukee King, a Cleveland State recruit, and honorable mention picks Meghan Herrick of Cedarburg and Sally Colby of Arrowhead lead the South squad.

Kristy Benson of Janesville Craig (15.8 ppg), Brianna Monahan of Beloit Memorial (14.3) and Kaylee Cardinal of Arrowhead (13.0) also should play key roles.

Division 2

The South features first-teamer Rachael Hencke of Grafton, second-teamer Kelsey Sperka of New Berlin Eisenhower and third-teamer Kelly Supernaw of Delavan-Darien.

Hencke earned the title of Miss Basketball and is headed to Miami of Ohio. Sperka averaged 19.8 points and Supernaw ended at 16.8 while finishing with 1,127 career points.

Honorable mention picks Janelle Groer of Pewaukee, Rachel Hackbarth of Wisconsin Lutheran, Rebecca Campbell of Richland Center and Sierra West of Slinger help create a formidable lineup.

Campbell averaged 16.9 ppg and 8.9 rebounds and finished her career with 1,290 points and 716 boards, while Amber Fiene of Sauk Prairie averaged 15.7 ppg and wound up with 1,176 during her varsity action.

Meanwhile, the North features second-teamer Stacie Van Handel, who helped Freedom to second place in the state tournament. Fourth-teamer Casey Weber of Rice Lake and honorable mention picks Becky Grzesiak of Mosinee, Brittany Beyer of New London, another future UW-Parkside player, and Tiffany Gregorich of Altoona are other top competitors.

Division 3

On paper, the South has the upper hand with third-team all-state pick Jadee Rooney of Markesan, a UW-Parkside recruit, and honorable mention choices Briana Kaiser of Cuba City, Elizabeth Lawinger of Mineral Point and Erica Babinec of Onalaska Luther.

Rooney averaged 17.1 and finished her career with 1,555 points, while Lawinger finished with 15.5 and topped the 1,000-point plateau at 1,014.

Kelsey TeBeest and Britta Jensema represent Oostburg, which won the state crown for the first time since 1994 with a 27-0 mark.

The North includes Kewaunee teammates Holly Berkovitz and Kari Wotachek.

Division 4

This contest features three players from state champion Flambeau and one from runner-up St. Mary’s Central on the North squad.

Flambeau became only the third team in state history to win at least three consecutive state titles and will be represented by honorable mention pick Beth Alberson, Lindsey Brost and Whitney Verdegan. Melissa Michalkiewicz joins them from St. Mary’s.

Fourth-teamer Val Schuster of Wausau Newman and Clayton teammates Becca Paulson and Brittni Hover give the North more options.

The South is led by Hillsboro’s Allison Fanta, who averaged 19.3 points and finished with a school record 856. Kerry McDermott of Rio averaged 16.8, while Brianna Roberts of Randolph finished at 12.8.

June 21 schedule:
