Milwaukee Marquette continues to top the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association boys Division 1 poll and sits at No. 15 nationally.

Coach Steve Lawrence and his Milwaukee Marquette boys soccer program is making a name for itself, and not just in Wisconsin.

The Hilltoppers have topped the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association poll in Division 1 all season.

Marquette leads a field that also includes second-ranked Hartland Arrowhead, followed by Milwaukee Pius XI, Whitefish Bay and Appleton North. The Hilltoppers have allowed only one goal all season, and that was in their only loss against Rockhurst (Mo.).

Marquette, last year’s state runner-up, and Arrowhead also stand in the Nos. 2 and 3 spots, respectively in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Region VI charts. Pius sits at No. 6, Whitefish Bay holds the ninth spot and Appleton North is in 14th.

Meanwhile, the Hilltoppers are rated 15th in the NSCAA top 25, while Arrowhead moved into the rankings at No. 24.

This week’s state charts also featured Waukesha Catholic Memorial, also the returning state runner-up, leading the Division 2 poll ahead of Port Washington and 2007 champion Green Bay Notre Dame.

In D-3, New Holstein holds the top position ahead of Kettle Moraine Lutheran.
