This week’s action features numerous big games again as the final month of the season kicks off, including at least a half-dozen rivalry contests.
Among the biggest will be the battle of unbeatens in the Southeast Conference between as Racine Horlick visits Racine Park with both teams sitting at 5-0.
Other key matchups have Stratford (4-0, 5-0) traveling to Marathon (5-0, 5-0) in the Marawood Conference, Kewaskum (3-0, 5-0) visiting Plymouth (3-0, 4-1) in the Eastern Wisconsin, Milwaukee Marquette (3-0, 4-1) taking on Brookfield Central (3-0, 5-0) in the Greater Metro and Howards Grove (3-0, 4-1) entertaining Cedar Grove-Belgium (3-0, 5-0) in the Central Lakeshore.
But not to be outdone, Badger North rivals Waunakee (2-0, 5-0) and DeForest (3-0, 4-1) hook up, Wild Rose visits Rosholt in the Central Wisconsin Small (both 3-0, 4-1) and Kettle Moraine Lutheran (3-0, 5-0) takes its show to Mayville (3-0, 4-2) that could decide the Wisconsin Flyway.
Two other important contests feature two of the four 4-1 squads from the Cloverwood as Thorp travels to Gilman, while Rio (2-0, 5-0) visits Green Lake (3-0, 3-2) in the Trailways Small.
And in a heavyweight weekend for rivalry series, Parker (4-2) and Craig (3-2) slug it out for bragging rights in Janesville, Pulaski (2-3) and Bay View (3-2) tangling for the Wooden Ball in Milwaukee City Richardson action and arguably the state’s most historic rivalry as East and crosses the river to meet West in the battle of Green Bay.
