Bay View back Darrill Wynn gained 331 yards rushing with six touchdowns and added an 88-yard kickoff return for a score against Milwaukee Hamilton.

It’s a Wynn-win situation

Darrill Wynn exploded for 331 yards on only 18 attempts (18.4 average) and registered six rushing touchdowns, adding a seventh on an 88-yard kickoff return, as Milwaukee Bay View ripped Milwaukee Hamilton, 65-30.

McBride busts loose

Paul McBride riddled Poynette for 213 of his career-high 299 yards rushing in the second half as Lodi took control en route to a 37-13 triumph. McBride scored three times, including 54- and 53-yard jaunts on two of his 31 tries.

Riding the hot hand

Lancaster broke open a close contest in the second half in winning a wild, 49-31, decision over Prairie du Chien. Leading the way was Trevor Landon, who busted loose for 309 yards rushing on 29 carries. Landon’s five touchdowns included runs of 74 and 50 yards.

Airing it out, and then some

Anthony Lutz was forced to pass, and pass he did. Lutz completed 33 of 50 attempts for 466 yards and five touchdowns, including plays of 25 and 50 yards, but St. Mary’s Central still suffered a 50-34 loss to Manitowoc Lutheran. Ten of Lutz’s tosses, including two scores, went to Mike Zolnowski for 193 yards.

Jake and Jayden show

Jake Dostalek gained 203 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns and Jayden Hoppe added 141 yards and two TDs as Waterford ripped Elkhorn, 42-21, in a Southern Lakes contest.

Aerial attack ends winning streak

Niko Koshak completed 10 of 14 passes for 220 yards and four scores, including 43- and 68-yard connections to Ian McKechnie, as New Berlin Eisenhower held off Greendale, 26-21, to end the host Panthers’ 27-game Woodland Conference winning streak.

Putting up big numbers

Matt O’Connell contributed three rushing scores and passed for two TDs and 121 yards (11 of 14), but he wasn’t alone as Jake Espeseth gained 207 yards rushing and two more scores as Clear Lake walloped winless Colfax, 49-14.

Offensive fireworks

Ethan Harris passed for 341 yards and three touchdowns and ran for two more scores, including a 22-yarder with 47 seconds left to give Wauwatosa East a 42-38 victory over West Allis Central.

His favorite target was Frazier Reiland, who caught 11 balls for 156 yards and two TDs.

Meanwhile, Central’s Ryan Barwick tossed four touchdown passes and finished with 317 yards, including eight connections for 144 yards and two scores to Tyler Cieslinski.

Lang carries the load

Wausau West pulled out a 21-20 nonconference triumph against La Crosse Central behind Derrick Lang’s 36 carries for 213 yards and two TDs.

Rowland rolls along

Tyler Rowland rumbled for 244 yards and a touchdown in helping Wilmot to a nonconference triumph against Milwaukee Pulaski.

Cardinals flying high

Mitch Olson threw for three TDs and 257 yards and ran for a score as Chippewa Falls remained unbeaten at 5-0 in Big Rivers action and 7-0 overall with a 34-22 victory over Rice Lake.

No passing fancy

Lance Baretz threw three scoring passes, two to Brady Oates, and totaled 291 yards as Franklin whipped Racine Case, 55-18.

Where there’s a Will, there’s a way

Will Frisch scored three times, including the game-winner, and gained 283 yards on 46 carries (6.2) as St. Francis downed New Berlin West, 30-23.

Same old, same old

Zach Pomputis ripped through another defense, this time Loyal. He rambled for 236 yards on 32 carries and three scores as Owen-Withee claimed a 36-0 verdict.

Hawks fly behind Katrichis

Jason Katrichis toted the pigskin 27 times for 229 and scored four touchdowns, including two that rallied Greenfield from a 21-17 deficit to a 31-21 win over Cudahy.

Setting the table

Cody Trudell ran Crandon ragged with 245 yards on 16 carries, including a TD, as Florence pounded the Cardinals, 44-6. Much of Trudell’s real estate set up Jake Church, who scored four times.

Getting his kicks

Seth Kuhn was perfect on four extra-point tries and booted 23- and 26-yard field goals in helping New Holstein post a 34-14 win against Kiel.

Hitting his targets

Jordan Tranberg completed 13 of 23 pass attempts for 225 yards and two touchdowns, including a 60-yarder to Alec Erlandson, as Black River Falls posted a 31-20 win over Arcadia.

Battle of the running backs

Karl Huemmer carried 35 times for 195 yards and three scores, including the game’s final two TDs, to help Sun Prairie clinch its 15th playoff berth in 17 years with a 28-21 win against Madison West.

West received 232 yards on 28carries and three scores from Leighton Settle.

Passing combination clicks

Dylan Anderson ran for the game’s first score and then put his arm to good use, completing 13 of 17 attempts for 182 yards as Melrose-Mindoro downed Independence/Gilmanton, 27-7. His two scoring passes (33 and 21 yards) and five tosses for 101 yards total went to Derrick Nordstrom.

Passing attack works, but it’s not enough

Eric Hoffman completed 29 of 44 pass attempts for 276 yards and two touchdowns, but Manitowoc Lincoln still fell short, 21-20, against Ashwaubenon.

Peshtigo back is Dura-ble

Mack Dura rumbled for 227 yards rushing on 32 carries, scoring three times in lifting Peshtigo to a 35-21 victory against Suring.
